Abhishek Poddar is a respected and highly successful Indian entrepreneur. Abhishek and his family have interests spread across many companies and industries including, trading and export, tea, explosives for mining and retail.

Abhishek is a Director of Matheson Bosanquet Enterprises Ltd, Coonoor Tea Estates Ltd, and Sua Explosives & Accessories Pvt. Ltd.

Along with his wife, Abhishek owns and operates an exclusive and successful retail business in Bangalore, India.

Abhishek Poddar has been a passionate art collector for many years. He is a well-known a patron and philanthropist of the arts. He is a founder-director of Tasveer, an organisation committed to increasing the visibility of photography as art and promoting its status as a collectible medium in India. Opening in 2006, Tasveer now has a network of galleries spread across the country between Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad, and has hosted over a hundred exhibitions both in India and abroad.

Donning many other hats, he is also the Honorary Consul for Poland in Bangalore, and serves on the advisory committees of the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Bangalore and FIND (Fondation Inde-Europe de Nouveaux Dialogues or the India-Europe Foundation for New Dialogures), headquartered in Rome, Italy, and is also a trustee of the Deccan Foundation.

Aqdas Tatli has a Masters in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, and a Masters in Management Studies, specializing in Marketing, from the University of Mumbai.

After completing a B. Com Aqdas worked for a year in sales at Yellow Pages.

He was Business Manager at ART India magazine for 3 years and has over 8 years of work experience in art industry. He has been associated with Artforum, Art Dubai, IkonoTV, India Art Collective and The Skoda Prize to name few and has also curated art exhibitions in recent years.

Jon is an award winning Chief Information Officer (CIO) with more than 25 years’ experience leading high performance IT teams and managing businesses at a senior executive level.

Educated at Loughborough University, Wharton Business School at University of Pennsylvania and INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau Jon was Global CIO for Christie's where he led a significant worldwide transformation programme and implemented Christie's Live, their real-time web based auction system.

Jon’s advice to the F.A.B. board and senior executives continues to add value to the management of F.A.B.’s growth of technical innovation.

Neha is an independent art advisor, curator and collector based in London. She curated her first art exhibition titled Living Traditions in April 2013 in London with the aim of promoting contemporary indigenous art from the Eastern and Western regions of India. She has been particularly instrumental in advising F.A.B.’s plans for the Indian market.

Neha completed her MA in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London in 2012. Prior to this, she was the Program Coordinator in the East Asian Art Department at Sotheby’s Institute.

Neha also holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Cass Business School, London which she completed in 2006.

Neha also advises High Net Worth Individuals regarding real estate investments in UK, Europe and India.

Neha and her husband Sumedh, an investment banker, live with their son in London.

He recently completed a Private Equity funded management buyout of Simply Business.

Vicki Stait was employed by Sotheby's Australia for 20 years as Executive Assistant to the Chairman and Manager, Client Services. She assisted in all departments where she gained a wide-ranging knowledge in Australian Art and Fine Jewellery.

After leaving Sotheby's Vicki gained experience in the primary art market when she worked as a senior assistant to the Director of a leading Contemporary art gallery.

Vicki has vast experience in client relations and customer service together with long-established relationships with some of the leading collectors and public institutions in the Region.

BRIAN BATES

Brian comes from an artistic background, being the son of the late artist Frederic Bates OAM FRAS AWI. Brian diverged to study Applied Psychology graduating in 1972 with a B.Sc, (App. Psych:) (Hons), after which he travelled extensively in Europe, particularly in France where he studied tapestry and pottery in Aix-en-Provence.

Brian opened his first gallery in 1974. Seeking the very best stock and broader horizons, Brian began to travel widely, in search of art and antiques, firstly in Asia, and then in South America, where he settled in the 1980s.

Today he resides in Santiago, Chile, with his two sons. He has exhibited in many art and antique fares and exhibitions in the USA where he has developed a reputation for the discovery of rare treasures from some of the most remote parts of the world. Brian is well known and respected by the art & antiques trade across 5 continents.

ALICE MILICA ILICH

Alice Milica Ilich is a freelance curator, author and leading authority on European and Russian art. Her experience encompasses extensive knowledge of European and Russian pictures, icons and other works of art. Her globally recognised expertise is in Russian art and in particular the works of Fabergé.

Alice graduated from Brown University in the USA. She began her career working in New York for Christies and subsequently London and Geneva as Head of their Russian department. She also worked for Sotheby’s in this capacity in London. Alice has written a number of books and prepared many specialist catalogues. She has become well recognised in this field, producing and editing books and catalogues for significant private collectors. She has valued the Fabergé collections of royalty in Europe and the United Kingdom. Most recently, she ventured into film, co-producing the multi-award winning documentary, “Fabergé: A Life of Its Own”.

Alice established her own business as a dealer and independent adviser to institutions and significant private collectors in 1995. Through her extensive international connections with leading collectors, galleries and dealers in the United Kingdom, Europe and the USA she has developed one of the most comprehensive and varied networks in the art world. As a result she has been instrumental in assisting clients in the sale, acquisition and valuation of major works of art globally. Amongst her most exciting achievements was both finding and negotiating the private sale of the Fabergé ‘Winter Egg’ of 1913. This Imperial Egg is considered to be one of the most important of the creations of Carl Faberge.

DAVE DALLAS

Dave Dallas was educated at Eton and joined Christie’s upon leaving school. He entered the Old Master Department, which catalogued most European pictures painted before 1900 at the age of 19.

He later became second in charge of the picture department at Phillips. After a period dealing on his own and 20 years’ experience with Dutch and Flemish specialist Johnny Van Haeften, Dave became International Director of Old Masters at Bonhams, London. He was for many years on the vetting committee of the Olympia Fairs, Chairman of the Picture Vetting Committee at the Grosvenor House Antiques Fair and serves on the vetting committee of Masterpiece, the celebrated London art fair.

Dave is a former Chairman of the Friends of Reading Museum, a trustee of the Reading Foundation of Art and an external advisor to the Collections Committee of Eton College.

Dave’s expertise in British Landscape Painting from 1750-1850 is respected by dealers, collectors and museum curators, worldwide.

David Slessar OBE

David Slessar, an entrepreneur, investor and chairman of not- for- profit organisations, started his early career in law, then investment banking. Initially he joined Allens Arthur Robinson in Melbourne and then Linklaters in London before moving to corporate finance at Macquarie Bank's predecessor Hill Samuel in London.

David left the city life to become an entrepreneur, establishing and developing companies in property services and later executive search. He is currently the Founder and Managing Director of a leading executive search firm, The Walford Partnership.

Today he is also involved in an honorary position as National Chairman of the Australian British Chamber of Commerce, having salvaged it from near bankruptcy fifteen years ago and overseeing its development into one of the leading Australian business chambers nationwide. It has achieved strong bilateral ties between Australia and the United Kingdom through its innovative and high-level programs focusing on infrastructure and financial technology. David’s contribution to this rebirth was recognized with the award of an O.B.E. in 2010.

David is also the Chairman of the Governor Phillip Scholarship created in memoriam of Australia's first Governor and founder of modern Australia. This has the bilateral focus of selecting post graduate Australian students to complete Masters degrees at Oxford University and bringing British students to study at leading Australian universities.
